All students of International Academia came together to put up an assembly on Monday, 9th October 2023 for MYP students in the school auditorium. They handled everything- news, thought for the day and play with élan. The unique theme chosen for the assembly, ‘Humanity at a Crossroads: The Great Filter Dilemma and the Kardashev Scale’ was rooted in science fiction. The play presented two situations that humanity faces, depending on their ability to overcome ‘the great filters’, or issues of concern such as global warming and nuclear weapons. One, to go back to the primitive age if we fail to overcome these challenges, and second, to progress to an advanced age if we succeed in overcoming these challenges. The students put up a stellar performance including all the essential elements of drama- impeccable dialogue delivery, music, dance, use of properties and so on. The synergy shown by our students resulted in a brilliant, meaningful spectacle, applauded by the audience.
